Dr. McHenry grew up in Williston, where she was born with a natural love for animals. She attended University of South Carolina Aiken, working at The Barnwell Veterinary Clinic before entering veterinary school at University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her internship at The Barnwell Veterinary Clinic and decided to stay there. In 1998, she bought the clinic where continues to practice.
Dr. McHenry lives in Barnwell with two daughters, Olivia and Shelby; and their miniature poodles, Nugget and Chelsea. When not in the clinic caring for patients, she enjoys reading, fishing and spending time with family.
Dr. McHenry is a member of the following organizations: Rotary Club of Barnwell County; Benefactor, Bequest Society Member, and Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International; Hagood Baptist Church.
